TIMERGLOW / HELP

How to use TimerGlow

How to start a TimerGlow timer, build routines, save a setup and share it safely.

One click to begin

The main timer is ready for 25 minutes. Change the duration or choose a preset, then select Start. Pause freezes the remaining time; Resume continues it. Add one minute gives the current step more space. Reset returns to the original setup and asks before ending an active session.

See time your way

Glow uses a shrinking light scale in open scenery and a circular light arc in painted clock scenes. Ring shortens the arc of remaining time. Bar shrinks from right to left. Each shows the fraction remaining on the current step, not the fraction of the whole routine.

Change the visual mode or atmosphere at any time without resetting your countdown. Quiet details lets you hide digits or seconds, reduce motion, turn sound on and preview its volume. Your system’s reduced-motion preference takes priority.

One step, then the next

Choose Build a routine or Edit routine. Give each step a name and a duration. Use Move up, Move down, Duplicate and Remove; dragging is never required. “Wait for me” holds after each step until you choose Next step. Automatic mode catches up to the scheduled step after an absence.

The total is planned time remaining. Waiting, pauses and later changes can extend a session. TimerGlow does not predict an exact finish time for a manual routine.

Save a rhythm. Share a setup.

Save setup stores a named configuration in this browser, including visual mode, sound and transition choices. Saved setups can be loaded, renamed, duplicated and deleted. A loaded setup waits for Start. Clearing browser data removes saved setups; there is no account backup.

Share setup creates a link containing the configuration, not a live countdown. It never syncs two devices. Anyone with the link can read its names and settings; the link is not encrypted. Avoid private information. Invalid links leave your current setup intact.

Keyboard and screen readers

When focus is outside a control, Space starts or pauses, F opens fullscreen, and R requests a reset. Shortcuts do not intercept typing or ordinary button keys. Escape closes dialogs or exits fullscreen.

The timer does not announce every second. Use Read remaining time for an on-demand reading. Major transitions have a polite announcement when end-of-step messages are enabled. All essential actions have visible buttons.

Coming back later

A saved session is offered on your next visit. Choose Restore session to catch up to its current time, or keep the page’s new setup. Restoration never plays missed sounds. Another active tab can prevent restoration; finish or reset that session first.

When offline caching has succeeded, the settings panel says Ready offline. The small application shell and templates are cached. See Reliability for the limits of offline timing and alerts.
